5 Storage Ideas to Incorporate into Your Remodeled Kitchen

You have been busy planning your kitchen remodel for a while now and while you may think that you have figured it all out, we want to recommend a few kitchen storage ideas.

We have found that many people believe that they have taken everything into consideration and planned for enough storage in their new kitchen. Unfortunately, once the work is completed, they realize that they actually need at least double of what they meticulously planned.

Here are 5 storage ideas that you can incorporate into your remodeled kitchen:

Low Storage for Children

If you have ever been in the middle of prepping food for dinner or washing the dishes and been interrupted by little ones in search of a snack, you are going to love this idea. A low storage area is the perfect place to keep some snacks for your children. You can even place a mini-fridge right next to it for juice boxes or water, so that they can grab a drink at the same time.

Customize Your Pantry

It doesn’t matter if you have a large or small pantry, they can all be customized. Shelves of different sizes can be added as well as pull-out shelves, baskets, and drawers. These will keep your pantry organized and tidy. Consider installing hooks or using command strips to make the most of your vertical spaces.

Drawers for Dishes, Pots, and Pans

There is no reason why you need to stack your dishes and pots and pans inside your cabinets and juggle three smaller skillets to get to the medium sized one. Instead, we recommend having multiple pull-out drawers that you can place all of your cookware inside.

Narrow Pull-Out Cabinets

These cabinets are wonderful for spices, small canned goods, and even for hanging towels and keeping dish soap and other cleaning products in a central location. They do not take up a lot of space and they will keep your kitchen organized and functional.

Pull-Out Shelves

If you are like us, you probably hate getting down on your hands and knees as you dig for your favorite baking dish in that cabinet that seems to go all the way to China. When you remodel your kitchen, we recommend using pull-out shelves in these cabinets, so that you can see where everything is as you are getting it out and putting it away. You will no longer have an excuse to just throw everything in there and hope for the best later on!

These are just a few storage ideas that will increase the space inside your kitchen and make it more functional than you could have ever imagined. We can answer any questions that you may have, but remember, plan for more storage than you think that you need. It is always better to have too much than not enough!
